Short Film on Anxiety Disorders – OCD
MEHAR secured a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation to develop a new artistic resource focused on Anxiety Disorders. This initiative resulted in the creation of two short films highlighting three major types of anxiety disorders: Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) , Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Panic Disorder. The project’s goal was to raise awareness about the profound impact of anxiety disorders on individuals’ lives and emphasize the importance of treatment in managing symptoms. MEHAR strongly believed that films have the transformative power to make it happen.
The films featured the stories of fictional characters to depict the real challenges of living with anxiety disorders.
The project commenced in June 2024, beginning with the development of film content and the education of the cast and crew about Anxiety Disorders. This preparatory phase ensured that the team was well-informed, sensitive, and mindful of the complexities involved in living with Anxiety Disorders.
